The MIHC is housed in one of the historic gems of Portland. This is first place where many of our early immigrant settlers visited not only for their religion but to connect with family and friends and begin their new lives here in Portland. The MIHC is a non-profit organization which works to preserve and protect this magnificent facility. The MIHC is available to rent for private events. We house a museum which contains many John Ford pieces of memorabilia. We have an active genealogy group an ongoing DNA project connecting Maine with Ireland called the Maine Gaeltacht Project which is growing like crazy! The MIHC hosts many cultural events throughout the year. We would welcome your membership and appreciate your support of our facility and our programs.
