St. Thomas Aquinas Church

1 Aquinas St, Binghamton, NY 13905, USA

On January 3, 1926, Bishop Daniel J. Curley acquired wooded land on Binghamton’s West Side, laying the foundation for a parish that has blossomed into a vibrant campus, driven by the motto: “Unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build it.” Guided by Father Thomas J. Hannon, the parish was incorporated on July 28, 1927. Over the decades, it evolved, adding a rectory, convent, and school. The church has undergone significant renovations, including a modern sanctuary remodel for its 90th anniversary, enhancing accessibility and community engagement, while continuing to serve as a hub of support and worship.
