Join us on Mondays and Wednesdays for our brand-new Wonder Labs! These guided sessions rotate through four exciting themes: Art Exploration, STEAM Investigations, Sound Waves, and Page to Stage.
Each day will offer either independent Tabletop Activities from 10:45-11:45AM and 1:30-2:30PM OR a 20–30 minute Direct Guided Experience at 10:45AM and 1:30PM. Come explore, create, and play with us all summer long!
AUGUST WONDER LABS:
Wed. Aug 5 – Page to Stage Storytime: “The Gruffalo” – 10:45AM and 1:30PM
A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood… and ended up on our stage! Bring your little ones for a magical, interactive storytime where Julia Donaldson’s classic tale comes to life. First, we’ll read the beloved story together, and then the real adventure begins: children will craft their very own Gruffalo puppet and step into the spotlight to act out the story!
Mon. Aug 10 – Art Exploration: Squeeze the Day – 10:45-11:45AM and 1:30-2:30PM
When life gives you lemons, make art! Visit Wonder Labs where children can explore real lemons and a variety of colorful craft supplies to create a work of art that looks like a refreshing cup of lemonade. Young artists will use lemons for stamping, and other creative materials to bring their lemonade masterpiece to life.
Wed. Aug 12 – STEAM Investigation: Deep Sea Discovery – Marvelous Jellyfish – 10:45-11:45AM and 1:30-2:30PM
We are diving deep into the ocean for our next hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) investigation! In this session, our young oceanographers will explore the mysterious, glowing world of jellyfish and use their fine-motor skills to create a beautiful jellyfish craft.
Mon. Aug 17 – Page to Stage Storytime: “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus” – 10:45AM and 1:30PM
He’s back, he’s birds, and he really wants to get behind the wheel! Join us for a hilarious, high-energy storytime featuring Mo Willems’ beloved, persistent Pigeon. After we read this laugh-out-loud classic together, your little ones will get to craft their very own Pigeon stick puppet and take turns acting out the story. Will they let the Pigeon drive? (The answer is a loud, unanimous NO!)
