The Get Down: Freedom Dance

A special, free community dance at Kismet.
After the fireworks, come move what freedom feels like in your own body.
You don’t have to know how to dance.
You just have to be willing to move.
Freedom Dance is a conscious dance experience created to help you loosen up, shake off what you’ve been carrying, and feel a little more alive in your body.
Music is curated and the space is held by Stephanie Dawn Clark for release, joy, fire, softness, and return.
We’ll begin with spacious, grounding music, build into old-school grooves, bright freedom songs, drum-driven fire, and full-body movement, then land with soulful songs that feel like open sky and a fresh start.
No choreography. No dance experience needed. No right way to move.
You can stretch, sway, step, shake, sing along, move big, move small, rest when you need to, or simply let the music meet you where you are.
Freedom to move however you want.
Freedom to rest.
Freedom from performance.
Freedom from being told how to dance.
Freedom to let your body enter the room exactly as it is.
What conscious dance means here:
We create a focused, respectful dance floor where people can move freely without being watched,
filmed, interrupted, or pressured.
On the dance floor:
No phones.
No cameras.
No talking.
No street shoes.
Please respect consent when engaging with others. Wait for a clear yes before approaching someone
to dance, and respect a no immediately.
This special event is free to attend.
The room is intimate and capacity is limited to 20 people.

Walk-ins are welcome if space remains.
