Edmond Town Hall, located in Newtown, Connecticut, is a historic community center and multipurpose venue established in 1930. Originally gifted by Mary Elizabeth Hawley, it serves as a hub for cultural, educational, and recreational activities. The facility boasts a 500-seat proscenium theater, a banquet hall (Alexandria Room/Stage 2), a gymnasium, and various meeting rooms. It hosts a wide array of events including live performances (music, theater, comedy), movie screenings, community gatherings, recitals, weddings, parties, and sports activities. While it historically housed municipal offices, it has been reimagined as a premier entertainment and event destination for Fairfield County and beyond. The venue is managed by a bi-partisan elected Board of Managers and employs a dedicated staff to oversee operations, programming, and maintenance. Its mission is to enrich the community by providing a versatile space for arts, sports, and civic engagement.
