Transylvania Community Arts Council
Established in 1949, Sacred Heart Catholic Church was the first Catholic church in Brevard, built to serve a growing community. The building, which cost $36,000, saw a transformation in 1998 when the Arts Council acquired it. Remnants of its religious past persist: the Gallery occupies the former sanctuary, a stained glass window frame adorns the loft, and the priest’s quarters remain intact. This historic site has evolved into a vibrant arts hub, featuring continuous updates, including a newly added ceramics studio in the downstairs classroom.
