Join us for a fun and informative event all about Florida bats and the benefits of bat houses in our communities.
This workshop is for Hillsborough County residents/employees only.
August 11, 2026 - 11:00am-1:00pm. - Bat to the Future : We'll explore the history of bats, common Florida bat species, how bat houses support healthy landscapes, and the best way to safely mount and maintain a bat house. We'll also clear up common myths so residents can feel more confident and comfortable welcoming bats into their neighborhoods.
Each household will receive a bat house to take home, and the event cost is $10.00 .
This program is a great fit for homeowners, gardeners, and anyone interested in wildlife-friendly landscaping and conservation.
