Located near the beach, the library partners with local organizations like the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce and hosts community outreach events, such as the Beach Market and Music on the Porch at the Maritime Museum. Known for its indoor and outdoor murals, the library underwent a major renovation in 2012 and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2022.
