Ages:3-17 Thursdays @1-3PM June 11: Florida Public Archeology Network: Malachi Fenn, Public Archaeology Coordinator for FPAN's Southeast Region, facilitates as children systematically excavate a sandwich to explore the concepts of stratigraphy and survey, emphasizing how archaeologists use the scientific method in the field. Fenn also brings the people of the past alive through the things they left behind underwater. Learn about the basics of underwater archaeology through a shipwreck on a tarp! June 18: Movie: Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs ™ (PG): In Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Manny, Sid, Diego, and the gang stumble into a hidden world where dinosaurs still rule-and danger lurks around every corner. June 25: Sea Turtle Adventures, Inc. Beach Cleanup: Meet DBPL at Anchor Park, (340 S Ocean Blvd, Delray Beach, FL 33483) to clean up local beaches with Kaleigh Gucker, Sea Turtle Specialist. Collect unwanted litter and learn about the importance of maintaining healthy shorelines. Parking not included. Be sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and wear light-weight clothing and a protective head covering. All children and family members registered for our Thursday, June 25, Sea Turtle Adventures, Inc. Beach Cleanup are responsible for providing a completed Safety Waiver the day of the event.
