Details:
Celebrate a big birthday for our country by exploring some of America’s most famous places! In this fun, hands-on library program, kids will “travel” across the United States—without leaving the library—to learn about iconic landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, the Liberty Bell, the Golden Gate Bridge, and more. Along the way, we’ll discover why these landmarks were built, what they represent, and how they help tell the story of America over the past 250 years. Participants will independently explore a learning station for each landmark that may feature a story or pictures, and a craft or activity. This program is a perfect way for youngsters to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary while building geography knowledge and pride in our nation’s history.
This program is intended for those heading into Grades K-5. Located in the Children's Program Room.
If your child needs a special accommodation, please contact juliab@lowermaclib.org ahead of time and we would be more than happy to assist!
