In honor of America’s 250th birthday and the Summer Reading theme, Unearth a Story, you are cordially invited to attend the library’s HamilTea!
Take a Break and enjoy tea and light refreshments in The Room Where It Happens along with trivia and music from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony award winning musical, Hamilton. Impromptu sing-a-longs to this Broadway smash are totally acceptable. History Has Its Eye on You so dress for the occasion (historic dress, formal dress, or business casual is encouraged). The Story of Tonight is local historian Jim Segrave-Daly will give a lively presentation on Alexander Hamilton, one of America’s most important Founding Fathers. Jim will discuss the impact Hamilton had on his adopted country, from his service during the American Revolution to his role in founding our nation and his service as the chief architect of America’s political and financial systems. Just who was this immigrant and orphan who dueled with Aaron Burr, Sir?
