Chardon’s America 250 Celebration is a multi-day community event running July 1-5, 2026.
Wednesday, July 1: Ohio Goes to the Movies: The Goonies
Thursday, July 2: History lecture by Dr. Bari Oyler Stith at Geauga Theater, followed by a children’s production of Tom Sawyer
Friday, July 3: Polka band performance and fireworks
Saturday, July 4: Old Glory Day with parade, courthouse dedication, time capsule ceremony, food and activities
Sunday, July 5: Community gathering with food, state activities, and live music
Free and open to the public.
