Details:
Join us for "DIY Food Storage: Ditch the Plastic," a hands-on class focused on reducing single-use plastics in your kitchen. In this session, you'll learn to make your own beeswax wraps from scratch, master the art of using mason jars, and share practical tips for minimizing plastic waste. Each participant will leave with a personalized beeswax wrap and a collection of easy ideas to implement at home. We will provide fabric, but you're welcome to bring your own thin, 100% cotton fabric, which is compostable! Due to space limitations, each attendee can make one wrap.
Meet our instructor, Sheba, the Outreach & Education Coordinator at Wheatsfield, who is passionate about connecting the community with valuable resources. A Navy veteran and a proud mom and grandmother, Sheba brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for sharing new recipes and sustainable practices.
