The Delray Beach Public Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to igniting curiosity, fueling discovery, and encouraging creativity through access to trusted information, reliable resources, and vital community connections. It serves as an essential community resource, offering a wide range of services and programs for all ages. The library boasts a physical collection of over 136,000 items and more than one million digital and streaming resources, including books, movies, audiobooks, and databases. It hosts approximately 2,000 educational and engaging programs annually, attracting over 18,000 attendees. Specific initiatives include innovative STREAM programs for youth, a dedicated teen librarian and renovated teen space, and outreach programs like "Library on the Go" which delivers resources to high-need neighborhoods. The library also provides access to technology, computer instruction, homework help, job search assistance, and meeting rooms. It is one of only two nonprofit public libraries in Florida and is funded through public and private partnerships.
