Relics of the Ulma family

Monday, July 6, St. May Hyde Park parish will be hosting the relics of the Ulma family—a Polish couple and their seven children (including one in utero) who were martyred by Nazi troops in 1944 for sheltering eight Jewish neighbors. The entire family was beatified in 2023. 


The Schedule for Saint Mary - Hyde Park is as follows:


5:30 p – Daily Mass celebrated by Fr. Kalisch, O.P.
6:20 p – Exemplification of Charity, Unity, & Fraternity (to initiate the new members brought in through our recent recruitment drives)*
7:00 p – Relic Veneration and talk by Fr. Kalisch**
8/8:30 p – End of veneration + dinner with Fr. Kalisch (reserved for Br. Knights of our council & their families)

*At the completion of the exemplification there will be time for a representative of the Fourth Degree to invite the new members to join
**During veneration members of the Fourth Degree will stand guard next to the relic and wipe it if touched by those veneration. Swords and not required - your call.
