Details:
Tuesday, July 7, St. Gertrude parish will be hosting the relics of the Ulma family—a Polish couple and their seven children (including one in utero) who were martyred by Nazi troops in 1944 for sheltering eight Jewish neighbors. The entire family was beatified in 2023.
Their relics will be available for veneration after our morning Masses until 5 p.m.
From 7 to 8 p.m. in the church, we will have a special prayer service that will include a talk on the family, prayers, and veneration. A reception in the Parish Center will follow.
There will be 2 veneration periods before and after 11:30am mass…..
Archbishop Elder Council will recruit brother Knights from our membership to serve as guardians during veneration. In addition, I’ve had conversations with Worthy Marshall Mike Byrne who will put a call out to Color Corps Commanders of local assemblies.
