Event Locator: 2026-AAWTFJ
Our six-hour Saturday welding workshop is great for high school students ready to explore the basics of MIG welding. From the start, you’ll learn how to safely set up your machine, properly use essential PPE (provided if you don’t have your own) and operate a wire-feed welding gun with confidence. The bulk of the class is hands-on: you’ll practice fundamental welding techniques, learn to troubleshoot common issues, and create a project that you’ll proudly take home at the end of the day. We’ll also walk through the basics of selecting your own welding equipment so you leave not just with a finished project but also the knowledge and confidence to continue welding at home. This camp is funded through a grant from the Arconic Foundation.
