Villains and heroes aren't always individuals like Rahab, pharaoh, or King David. They can also be a group of people - a crowd. Crowds of people can both 'fund' causes to propel movements, as well as remain silent and indifferent to the needs around them. Jesus' resurrection and Pentecost proclaim a bold future: God transforms crowds into communities of courageous disciples who speak up, stand with the vulnerable, and love their neighbors.
