Details:
Join us at WonderLab for a day of creativity and exploration during Pythagorean Theorem Day on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Suitable for all ages, this free event with museum admission will celebrate the beauty of mathematics and its connections to patterns, puzzles, and art. The date, 7/24, represents a Pythagorean triple, illustrating the theorem where the square of the hypotenuse equals the sum of the squares of the other two sides.
In addition to engaging activities like tessellation projects, quilting designs, and musical mathematics, participants can discover the new WonderLab math trail and mathematical connections relevant to the year 2025. Admission prices are free for members, $14.50 for non-members, and $5 for access pass holders.
Additionally, throughout the day, families can attend Science Story Time from 10 – 10:45 a.m. EST, designed for toddlers through early elementary ages. This program uses children's picture books to introduce scientific concepts and enhance literacy and STEM skills through hands-on engagement. With an array of diverse stories from the Monroe County public library, children will be inspired to explore and satisfy their curiosity.
Don’t miss this opportunity to embrace the creativity of mathematics and science at WonderLab while enjoying the fun of interactive learning! For admission details, visit wonderlab.org.
