Sioles has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards including a Fulbright Scholarship and an Atwater Kent Grand Prize. He has performed on three continents at such venues as the Purcell Room (London) , Amerika Haus (Berlin) , and the Shanghai Conservatory. Following his London debut, he made solo appearances in Spain, Germany, Switzerland, and Scotland. In Spain and in London, he served as the teaching assistant for the legendary pedagogue Maria Curcio. In addition to Curcio, he studied with György Sebők and Aube Tzerko. Sioles has performed throughout the United States as a recitalist and soloist with orchestra, and been a featured artist on National Public Radio. An avid chamber player, he has collaborated with numerous artists, including Edgar Meyer, Barry Tuckwell, the Guarneri String Quartet, and members of the Baltimore and National symphony orchestras. As part of the Washington D. C. music scene for over a decade (1991-2003) , he performed solo and chamber recitals in many of the city’s important halls, including the Kennedy Center, the National Gallery, the Phillips Collection, the Cosmos Club, Strathmore Hall, and the French Embassy. Recent international engagements have taken him to Taiwan, where he performed in five cities including Kaohsiung and Taipei, and to Panama and Costa Rica, where he gave chamber and solo performances and taught master classes. From 2019 to 2024, Sioles taught at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Previously, he taught at Louisiana State University, the University of Maryland, and Levine Music in Washington, D.
