Create, connect, and explore in the museum every Second Sunday with the whole family! Designed for K-12 students and their families, this event offers a fun and flexible way to spark creativity and connect with each other. All ages and experience levels are welcome! Come and go at your own pace. We recommend planning for at least an hour to explore the gallery and make art. Start in the Roehm Family Art-making Studio inside the Kimberly and John Simpson Center for Education on the museum’s 2nd floor to pick up your Gallery Challenge. Then head to the galleries to find the artwork we’ll use as inspiration for our project! When you’re ready, head back to the studio for our hands-on art-making activity everyone will love. This program takes place every Second Sunday of the month, excluding holidays and museum closures. Each month features new artworks and materials, so there’s always something fresh to explore and create! All children must be chaperoned.
