Historic 4th of July Celebration

Join us for the Historic 4th of July Celebration at Slate Run Living Historical Farm as we honor the birthday of our nation! Pack a picnic blanket and enjoy lunch on the farm lawn before noon, which will also host a variety of activities throughout the day. Be sure to enter your MOST BEAUTIFUL PIE between 12:00-1:30, as only cooked pies will be judged on appearance. The festivities kick off at 1:00 PM with a reading of the Declaration of Independence, followed by live music from Matthew West from 1:15-2:15. Enjoy an afternoon filled with games and activities, including a Tug O’ War for kids, a Victorian Archery Demonstration, jump rope, stilts, ring toss, sack races, egg toss, and other silly lawn games. Explore historic toys, participate in slingshots, paper gliders, and horseshoes, and embrace even more fun for everyone.
