Make your watercolor paintings glow! All you need is a plan, patience, and creativity. Artist Kimberly Eslinger will take you through my process for creating lighting effects so that you can paint sunlit forest paths and glorious skies of your own.
During this 2-hour workshop, we will cover:
• Choosing watercolor paper
• Building depth in layers
• Planning for light
• Using Gouache, acrylics, resist, masking tape, or gel pens
• Adding and lifting pigment
• Bushes (can you really have too many?)
• Choosing watercolors
• General artist tips that make life easier
Please bring the following supplies to class:
• Cold-pressed 180lb paper
• No 8 round brush
• Any watercolors that you have access to
• Watercolor pallet
• Any stiff, waterproof board for taping your work down.
• Reference photos for inspiration
If you don’t have these supplies, don’t worry—we’ll have extras available. Just let us know.
