Use light to make your watercolor landscapes go from dull to dazzling. Artist Kimberly Eslinger will show you how to use contrast and layering in your paintings to create depth and interest.
During this 2-hour workshop, we will cover:
Choosing watercolor paper
Building depth in layers
How controlling color density creates depth
Using Gouache, acrylics, resist, masking tape, or gel pens
Adding and lifting pigment
Bushes (can you really have too many)
Choosing watercolors
General artist tips that make life easier
You are welcome to bring the following supplies to class:
Cold-pressed 180lb paper
No 8 round brush
Any watercolors that you have access to
Watercolor pallet
Any stiff, waterproof board for taping your work down.
Reference photos for inspiration
If you don’t have these supplies, don’t worry, I will bring extra; just let BAGA know.
