Now, amid changing political winds, immigrants face increased racism and discrimination, threats of deportation, and weakening support as organizations helping them confront funding cuts. Immigrants in public service work tirelessly on the frontlines to create and maintain freedom for themselves and their communities. This event will provide valuable insight into the work of these individuals as they use their positions to dismantle systemic racism, promote equality, and prioritize education. These immigrants have much to teach us about resilience, the meaning of freedom, and the value of democracy.
