The Heermance Memorial Library, established in 1908, is a public library serving the residents of Coxsackie, New York, and its vicinity. Its mission is to inspire lifelong learning and to support the cultural and recreational needs of the community. The library offers a variety of services including books, movies, music, audiobooks, e-books, public access computers, free Wi-Fi, faxing, copying, and printing. It also hosts various programs and events for different age groups. The library was founded through a bequest from Eleanor Christina Heermance, who left her home and a trust fund for its establishment. Since 1999, it has operated as a Special District Library funded through local taxes.
