Its's that time again.... It's time for the Battle of the West Reading Karaoke Stars! Will you be named the Champion? Trophy & bragging rights included. This amazing competition comes around twice a year, and it's your time to shine, all while raising money for West Reading Recreation. All funds raised during this competition, helps the volunteers at the rec commission continue to put on amazing community events. Registrations open's at 3pm. Registration is $10. Get there early, as we usually have lots of contestants and have to cut it of at 25 because of time. Each contestant will sing one song, and the audience will vote with dollars for their favorites. The judges will also make some choices. The Judges choices, and top vote earners will move on to the final round to battle it out for one last song. The judges will pick a judge's champion from the final round, but the audience will again vote with dollars and the top vote earner will be names the Battle Champion. So, invite your friends and make sure they bring dollars to vote for you. ****Remember, it's Karaoke, not American Idol. You don't need to be an amazing singer; you just need to be willing to have fun and put on a good show to get the crowd to vote for you and be willing to raise money for West Reading Recreation. Costumes, Air instruments, back up dancers, etc. are all encouraged. We want you and the audience to have an amazing time. **Judges will be announced soon **You don't have to live in West Reading **There is no age requirement to compete *********The best part about this competition is the top 10 will be invited to compete against Muhlenberg, and potentially another townships top 10 in the ultimate Karaoke Battle for the Bragging rights to be the Berks County Karaoke Battle Champion! That competition is being worked out for September at Jim Dietrich Park in Muhlenberg and the details will be announced soon.
