Join us for a special story time with Vision Resource Center of Berks County! Free vision screenings will be available for children ages 6 months to 6 years old. A parent permission slip required at the time of the screening. The process is easy and child friendly! A child only needs to look at the lights in the Welch Allyn Spot Vision camera for a few seconds, and does not need to respond in any way. This system screens for the following: nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, unequal pupil size and gaze deviation. This is the optimal time for early detection of vision disorders in order to provide early treatment, which results in the most effective outcome for children! Talk to a RPL Southeast Branch staff member to learn more and receive a permission slip for your child.
