Get ready to ruck, roll, or stroll your way through a fall-themed fitness challenge that supports veterans and adaptive athletes! Ruck & Roll is an inclusive, high-energy endurance event with options for every level.
Location: Blue Marsh National Recreation Area – State Hill Parking Area (599 Brownsville Rd, Wernersville, PA )
WHAT'S A RUCK?!?
A ruck is walking or hiking with a weighted pack — a key part of military training used to build strength and endurance. Participants can choose weighted packs, vests, or go unweighted.

Ruck Distances
Short: approximately 3-4 miles
Mid: approximately 8-9 miles
Long: approximately 13-14 miles
Ruck Divisions:
Ranger: Competitive: “Heavy” Ruck - Men 45#/Women 35# and Stations (25 reps at each station)
Scout: Competitive: Men 30#/Women 20# and stations (25 reps at each station)
Cadet: Competitive: 15&U and 70+ Men 20#/Women 10# and stations (10 reps at each station
Infantry: Just for Fun: choose your weight or no weight - no awards and stations (reps choice at each station)
WHAT'S A ROLL?!?
The Roll event is designed specifically for adaptive athletes using handcycles, recumbents, and other seated mobility equipment.
We’re still finalizing the full experience for 2026 but get excited, because it’s shaping up to be awesome!
Expect scheduled adaptive e‑assist mountain bike demos, group rides, and opportunities to try adaptive equipment in a supportive, fun, and high‑energy environment.
