Indulge in the celestial wonders above as we return for the third and final event in our STARGAZING in the Parklands series. As the late summer sky begins to shift toward fall, the stars come out in full brilliance—and there’s no better place to take it all in than the wide-open West Slope of the Parklands. STARGAZING, the simple yet awe-inspiring act of looking up at the stars and other objects in space, is more than just a hobby—it’s a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and appreciate the vast beauty of the universe. With minimal light pollution and panoramic views, the Parklands provides an ideal setting to spot constellations, trace the path of distant planets, and maybe even catch a glimpse of the Milky Way stretching across the sky. The Borough of Wyomissing’s Department of Recreation is proud to once again partner with the Berks County Amateur Astronomical Society for this unforgettable evening. Their members will be on hand with telescopes and expert guidance to help you make the most of your cosmic journey. We encourage you to bring a blanket or chair, dress in layers in case the night turns chilly, and consider using a red-light flashlight to help preserve night vision. Whether you're bringing the whole family, a group of friends, or flying solo, this is the perfect way to cap off your week with a little wonder. Friday, September 12th at 8:30 PM Location: West Slope of the Parklands of Wyomissing (Just off Cambridge Avenue and Parkview Drive. Park in the designated area off Parkview and follow the trail through the gate up the hill.) There are no rain dates planned, so mark your calendar and keep an eye on our social media for any weather-related updates. We’ll see you under the stars.
