Details:
2nd Mondays, starting in April
A monthly club where we will meet and discuss classic and contemporary cinema with other movie lovers. Watch the selected title in advance on your own, by placing a hold on a library DVD or Blu-ray or by streaming from a variety of services. We will view a few clips from the movie and have a conversation about the film, its relevance, its craftsmanship, and whatever other aspects catch our interest.
Our inaugural film is Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window (1954). The other films will be announced as the dates approach.
Monday, May 11 at 6:30 PM: TÁR.
From director-writer-producer Todd Field comes TÁR, starring Cate Blanchett as the iconic musician, Lydia Tár. The film examines the changing nature of power, its impact and durability in our modern world.
Monday, June 8 at 6:30 PM: TBD
