The Dighton Public Library, originally a Carnegie library built in 1910, is currently operating from temporary locations on the Dighton Town Hall Campus due to the closure of its Main Street building. The library offers a range of services including borrowing physical and digital collections (eBooks and audiobooks), access to public computers, and various programs for children and adults. The library is undergoing renovations with plans to move to a new facility at 207 Main Street. The Friends of the Dighton Public Library, a volunteer group, actively supports the library through fundraising and events, contributing significantly to renovation efforts. The library provides services to Massachusetts residents, with options for out-of-state residents as well. Its mission is to serve the community by providing access to information, fostering a love of reading, and offering engaging programs.
