**1. Glass & Metalwork: Metal Jewelry** - Dive into the world of jewelry making with this six-week introductory course running from June 11 to July 23 (no class the week of July 4). You'll learn essential techniques like using a jeweler’s saw, cold connections, riveting, and basic enameling. By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and confidence to continue your jewelry practice at home. Ceramics: Flower Vases** - In this three-part workshop on June 11, 18, and 25, led by Teaching Artist in Residence Linda Nguyen Lopez, you’ll create a sculptural flower vase from scratch using slab-building techniques. After designing and constructing your vessel, you'll return to decorate it and arrange a fresh floral display in your finished piece. This workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced makers, blending creativity, craft, and functional design. Drawing: Exploring Sketching** - Rediscover the joy of drawing in this six-week course running from June 11 to July 23 (no class the week of July 4), where you’ll explore observation and creativity through guided exercises. Taught by illustrator Chad Maupin, the class will include outdoor sketching trips throughout the museum grounds and focus on gestural figure drawing and introductory portrait work.
