Kanekoa is a Maui-based, ukulele-powered band blending island roots with funk, blues, and improvisational rock. Touring since 1997, the group has earned multiple Hawai‘i Music Awards for their innovative sound and genre-defying approach.
Often described by Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann as the “Hawaiian Grateful Dead,” Kanekoa brings a deep sense of groove, musicianship, and spontaneity to every performance.
