Join us for a series of Volunteer Project Days this summer to support the conservation of parks and trails in the Bend area alongside the Bend Park and Recreation District (BPRD) natural resources and trails team. Volunteers will participate in activities such as pulling weeds, removing trash, closing unofficial trails, and planting native vegetation. Key dates include:
- **Wednesday, June 24**: Trail work at Shevlin Park from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, focusing on social trail closure/removal and reinforcement.
- **Saturday, July 11**: Participate in the Upper Deschutes Watershed Council's annual river clean-up from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, starting at Farewell Bend Park and continuing to the Deschutes River Trail.
- **Wednesday, July 29**: Weed pulling and litter clean-up at Pine Nursery Park Off Leash Area from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.
- **Saturday, August 22**: Details for this event are yet to be finalized.
- **Saturday, October 3**: Help plant native species at Riley Ranch Nature Reserve from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a hike required to reach the project site.
