2026 Chuckanut Writer's Conference Faculty Reading plus the Presentation of the 2026 Literary Citizenship Awards

Join us for the 2026 Chuckanut Writer's Conference Faculty Reading! Open to both the public and Chuckanut Writer's Conference attendees, this year features two faculty readings with the second night featuring Brenda Miller, Lucy Tan, Derek Sheffield, Sati Mookherjee, Glen Hirshberg, and Anastacia-Reneé. Come and listen to the fantastic work produced by this year's esteemed faculty, connect with other writers, and enjoy a lovely evening of literature in the Hotel Leo Crystal Ballroom. The winners are still To Be Announced, and this event is open to any and all who have been touched by our illustrious literary community. Recipients of this award are of diverse backgrounds and professions, but each have demonstrated a commitment to engage with the literary community with the intent of giving as much, if not more so, than they receive. This can take many different forms such as giving back to the literary community in a meaningful way, making yourself available to other writers as time allows to provide your knowledge and expertise, championing other people's successes, and involving yourself in the local literary landscape of independent bookstores, libraries, schools, and writing organizations.
