Adult Chess Club

Join us for two exciting programs at the Downey City Library! First, chess enthusiasts can participate in the Adult Chess Club, held every other Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. Led by local chess aficionado Salman Mogaddedi, this club is perfect for players of all skill levels to improve their game, learn new strategies, and engage in friendly competition. Registration is required.

Additionally, for our youngest readers aged 0-18 months, we offer Hora de Cuentos for Library Littles. This captivating storytime occurs weekly and features delightful read-alouds, colorful picture books, and engaging themes aimed at nurturing a love for reading. Caregivers are required to supervise during this fun-filled session designed to spark creativity and learning in little ones. No registration is necessary. Come enjoy the joy of reading and community at the library!
