Join us at Ponca State Park for a guided, beginner-friendly hike with the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department on Monday, July 27 at 10 a.m.
A Ponca State Park Naturalist will lead the hike on Prairie Loop Trail and provide knowledge and history about native grasses, wildflowers and Ponca State Park. This trail is approximately 1.15 miles in length and loops around a prairie restoration area. Water, healthy snacks, and insect repellent wipes will be provided. All ages are welcome!
We ask that visitors RSVP by calling 531-519-6360 so we can get a head count for snacks, etc.
Please park at the Riverfront campground and meet at the Prairie Loop Trailhead located to the north of the campground.
Free park entry for participants – Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department will be sponsoring daily park entry permits for this event only!
