WHAT:
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is a fast‑paced, hands-on leadership program designed to give young people the skills and confidence to lead in their troops, crews, and everyday lives. Over one action-filled week, participants experience a simulation of “a month in the life of a troop,” learning teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and essential leadership techniques.
Course Fee: $475
($50 discount until May 19th)
Includes: Class B T-shirt, hat, program materials, and all meals.
WHO Can Attend
Participants must meet the following requirements:
Registered member of a Scouts BSA Troop, Venturing Crew, or Sea Scout Ship
Scouts BSA: Ages 13–17 and First Class rank by the start of the course
Venturers & Sea Scouts: Ages 14–20
Approval from their unit leader

Check-in at the Welcome Center.
WHEN:
Monday, August 17 – Saturday, August 22, 2026
Check-in begins Monday at 8:00 AM at the Dining Hall, located at the far end of the parking lot on the left.
The course concludes with a graduation ceremony. Final commencement time will be shared prior to course week.
