Seay will share stories from his behind-the-scenes experience working on the show and showcase authentic set pieces, props, and posters used in production. Get up close with the artistry of television production as you touch, explore, and experience the textures, effects, and craftsmanship that helped bring the world of Stranger Things to life. This is a unique opportunity for art lovers, film enthusiasts, and fans of the series to meet the artist and learn about the creative process behind one of television’s most popular shows.

John Ellison was born in Montgomery, WV on the banks of the Kanawha River and grew up in the mining town of Landgraff in McDowell County. In 1959, he quit his job at the Carter Hotel in Welch, put his belongings in a grocery bag and bought a one-way ticket to Rochester, NY. With five-lifetime achievement awards and a Grammy nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year, John Ellison's contributions to the music industry are both deep and legendary. In July, 2024, BMI honored Ellison for his iconic hit “Some Kind of Wonderful” which has been played more than 6 million times on commercial radio and recorded by 75 different artists including Buddy Guy, Huey Lewis and the News, and, most recently, Rod Stewart.
