The Ultimate Summer Carnival Camp!
Doodlers will design and create their own games, craft bold and colorful art, and explore how things move, work, and come to life through art and science. From wearable creations and clay projects to spinning builds and sweet treat-inspired fun, every day is packed with imagination, experimentation, and play. Added bonus is a silly science experiment added to each day. Think Oobleck, cotton candy slime, balloon explosion, elephant toothpaste! Get ready for a one-of-a-kind experience where campers don’t just visit the carnival…they create it!
Dates/Times, Cost & Additional Details:
Dates: June 23-26
Times: Half Day - 9am to Noon & Full Day 9 am to 3pm
Half Day $225 (9 am to Noon) Full Day $375 (9 am to 3 pm)
$50 deposit due when registering balance paid on first day of camp
All Doodlers (half & full day campers) will want to bring a snack and drink each day.
Full Day Campers will also want to pack a full lunch.
Each Doodler will receive an Artsy Doodle t-shirt to wear to class each day as their art smock and it’s theirs to keep at the end of camp.
Camps are a drop-off classes, recommended for ages 5-13
Day One: Carnival Game Design & Clay Creations!
Step right up! Doodlers will kick off the week by designing and building their very own carnival games, think Popcorn Bucket Toss, Marble Racing, Bean Bag Toss, or Tin Can Nerf Targets! Campers will also create a one-of-a-kind Fish Bowl Toss–inspired project using a fish bowl, resin, and a plastic fish—bringing a classic carnival game to life in a creative new way! We’ll also begin our clay creations, exploring hand-building techniques to start imaginative carnival-inspired pieces!
Silly Experiment: Oobleck
Day Two: Masks, Wearables & Game Builders!
Doodlers will create dazzling carnival masks and wearable art, think bright colors, feathers, bold patterns, and over-the-top fun! Then we’ll continue building and refining our interactive carnival games, adding moving parts, ramps, and exciting challenges to make them even more fun to play! Campers will also design a ceramic popcorn bowl using a special gravity painting technique for a colorful, one-of-a-kind finish!
