Details:
In this intermediate camp, archers will review the core concepts covered in our Beginner Camp and build on those core concepts. Although we will spend a brief time reviewing the parts of the bow and arrow as well as basic range safety and etiquette, we will expand their skillset by teaching campers to monitor the range for their own safety and the safety of others. Our goal is to have each student serve, with direct supervision, as “Range Safety Monitor” for a 20-30-minute time block during the course of the camp so that they have practical experience and view safety from the instructor’s perspective. We will enhance the practical shooting instruction to include all 11 elements of shooting form (NTS). This camp will spend the majority of its time on the range with the focus on Range Setup, Range Safety and Shooting form.
Students should bring a water bottle and wear closed toe shoes for safety. If they have their own bow setup, they are encouraged to use it but owning your own equipment is not required.
Prerequisite: Beginner Archery Camp or equivalent outside experience.
