Join us for the *Free Juneteenth Community Celebration* hosted by The Strong in partnership with the Rochester Area Community Foundation and the Greater Rochester Martin Luther King Jr. Commission. Celebrate the significance of Juneteenth from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with free admission and parking, featuring a variety of performances and activities that honor and promote Black history and culture.
Highlights of the day include the *Black National Anthem* performed by Holden James Turner at 10:45 a.m., followed by the *Forever Essence Fashion Show* at 11 a.m., showcasing vibrant outfits by the Beauty Queens of Forever Essence. At 11:30 a.m., enjoy a musical performance by RocMusic's jazz combo band, Dreamseeds.
In the afternoon, experience empowering musical moments at 1 p.m. with more performances by Holden James Turner and Zachary Peterson, and poetry readings from local talents at 2 p.m. Celebrate youth creativity with *Kids That Rock* at 2:30 p.m.
Family-friendly activities include hair braiding workshops, photo opportunities with special characters, outdoor games, and art displays highlighting the achievements of African American women. Guests can also style crowns, engage in a unique *Juneteenth Uno Remix*, and savor treats from Sugary Delights. Join us for a day filled with joy, culture, and community!
