Please join us for our next living history program at Fort Ouiatenon Park August 15th 2026 and see what Camp Tippecanoe was like in 1862!
In July 1862, Indiana Governor Oliver P. Morton issued a call for the citizens of Indiana to volunteer to fight to preserve the Union of the United States in the Civil War. This second call would see a swell in the volunteers at Camp Tippecanoe as well as men reenlisting in the effort from their previous 90-day service. Join TCHA Volunteers and Staff as we bring the stories of what Camp Tippecanoe was like in 1862 to life.
A detailed schedule of the day will be available soon!
