Details:
Earth Native Wilderness School is hosting a Knots & Lashes course at their campus in Bastrop County, Texas. The nearly lost art of knots, lashings, and ropework is mostly relegated to historians, hobbyists, and riggings used in various industries. To the outdoors person, proficiency in knots and lashings can allow you to transport and secure gear more efficiently, setup and maintain guide level campsites, make lashings for bushcraft and camp projects, create riggings to move large objects or your vehicle when a winch or lift isn’t around.
While there are several thousand knots in existence, and untold variations of those, this course will focus on the most fundamental knots and lashings that are tried-and-true. ENWS will push your skills with more advanced knots, lashings, and ropework as the day progresses. Each participant will leave with some practice cordage, and a waterproof knot book for continued practice.
You’ll be working with enthusiastic instructors who use and rely on these skills daily, and you’ll be surrounded by like-minded students eager to learn.
