Bastrop Homecoming & Rodeo 2026

The Bastrop Homecoming & Rodeo returns to Bastrop, Texas, from July 28 through Aug. 1, 2026, continuing one of the community’s longest-running traditions. Held at Mayfest Hill Park and surrounding venues, the annual event brings together residents, former residents and visitors for a week filled with rodeo competition, live entertainment, tournaments and hometown celebrations.
Attendees can enjoy five days of rodeo action, including team roping, barrel racing, rodeo slack events and the popular CPRA rodeo performances. The schedule also features community favorites such as cornhole, horseshoe and washer tournaments, food vendors, merchandise booths and class reunions. Families will find plenty of opportunities to connect with friends, cheer on competitors and experience the welcoming atmosphere that has made the event a Bastrop tradition for generations.
The celebration traces its roots to the years following World War II and continues to serve as a homecoming for the community while helping support local students through scholarship fundraising efforts. The week concludes with the always-popular Grand Parade through downtown Bastrop, creating a festive finish to a celebration that honors the area’s history, western heritage and strong community spirit.
