Hurst Lecture Series | American Democracy in Historical Perspective

Join the Aspen Institute for the Hurst Lecture Series featuring historian Sean Wilentz, who will deliver a keynote lecture titled "American Democracy in Historical Perspective." As a professor of history at Princeton University and a leading scholar of American political history, Wilentz will examine the enduring debates that have shaped American democracy, highlighting the significant political movements, constitutional traditions, and historical forces that continue to influence public life today. The event will be held at Paepcke Auditorium, with doors opening at 5:00 pm. Registration is required and is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to limited parking, attendees are encouraged to carpool, walk, bike, or use public transportation. A book signing will follow the lecture.
