The Chino Fairgrounds, owned by the Chino Fair Association, is a non-profit organization with a rich history dating back to 1942. Originally a camp for laborers and a POW camp, it was sold to the San Bernardino Junior Fairgrounds in 1956 and has since served as a fairground. The Chino Fairgrounds hosts its annual Chino Fair and 4H/FFA Auctions in the second week of July, culminating in the Chino Challenge Demolition Derby. The venue is also an ideal location for various events such as company picnics, carnivals, rodeos, car shows, and social gatherings. It features Brinderson Hall, an 11,000 sq ft air-conditioned banquet facility with a full kitchen and capacity for 500 guests; Sholander Arena, a full-size arena with seating for 3,500; and Conley Pavilion, a covered pavilion with seating for 540. The mission of the Chino Fair Association is to provide Chino area youth opportunities to showcase animal skills and foster community connection. The organization also supports various community groups and activities.
