Details:
Ohio University will be hosting a Virtual Book Group this summer, focusing on "Remembering and Forgetting in the Age of Technology," written by Michelle D. Miller, an expert on attention, memory, and technology. Two cohorts will meet on May 21, 28, and June 4 from 12-1 PM, and July 21, 28, and August 4 from 12-1 PM. The first ten participants from each cohort will receive a hard copy of the book, available digitally via Ohio University Libraries as well. Miller, who is also scheduled to present at CTLA's annual fall semester kickoff in 2026, aims to explore the implications of technology on memory and education.
In addition, Ohio University Transportation & Parking Services has announced several parking lot closures due to construction. A partial closure of Parking Lot 132 at Peden Stadium will commence on May 10, 2026, with plans to reopen in August 2026. Parking Lot 40 (Lower Seigfred) and Parking Lot 44 (Patton Hall) will partially close on August 4, 2025, and are expected to reopen by the end of 2026. Furthermore, Parking Lot 41 (Lower Seigfred) will close on May 22, 2026, at 11 PM, reopening on June 10, 2026, alongside a partial closure that will begin on August 4, 2025. Vehicles left in these areas during the specified closure times may be cited or relocated at the owner's expense.
