The Kennedy Museum of Art at Ohio University presents two significant exhibitions: "Material Matters" and "Waves of Influence." "Material Matters," running from April 10, 2026, to March 21, 2027, is curated, designed, and installed by 26 undergraduate and graduate students from various disciplines in the Museum Studies Program. This exhibition examines craftsmanship and the cultural significance of materials in preserving community histories, with collaboration from Ohio University Libraries and the Southeast Ohio History Center. Meanwhile, "Waves of Influence" highlights pivotal works from the history of printmaking, showcasing artists like David Hockney, Helen Frankenthaler, Robert Rauschenberg, and Frank Stella, who pushed the boundaries of traditional print techniques through innovative approaches and materials. Both exhibitions offer free admission and are generously supported by the Ohio Arts Council.
